When I think about the summer time in ZTA alumnae life, I think about the loyalty and commitment each of our chapter leaders have to our organization. The ongoing willingness to participate, volunteer, and grow the sisterhood across North Carolina and our Fraternity as a whole is visible in the way we are making connections to new and returning sisters, reaching new heights (like nearly 90% of our alumnae chapters receiving Crown Chapter at Convention 2026!), and continuing to set lofty goals for the future of our chapters from the mountains to the beach. Each of you are going above and beyond what is expected, by displaying devotion to Zeta Tau Alpha and its members. Thank you!
Keep reading for overall updates and officer specific action items to maintain your forward trajectory as we continue into kickoff season and the new ZTA year! Zeta Love and ALL of mine!

Zetabase is continuing to grow as new parts are updated and rolled out. Keep checking back and digging into Z-Learning for updated resources as well.
An updated Alumnae Service Book (ASB) is headed your way from International Office (IO)! At Convention 2026 it was shared that all Collegiate and Alumnae chapters will be receiving updated COLOR copies of our ASB. In addition to updated resources, there have been some updates to our rituals, please reach out to me (Laura) directly to inquire! I have not received a notification about how soon to expect the ASB, but will let you know if/when I do!
iDonate pages are no longer in use by IO and should not be used by Alumnae Chapters for fundraising. It is my understanding that we will be moving toward using CrowdChange for each chapter - since we are all now on Billhighway I will be sure to request that shift and loop you in on any updates.
Check out the tips for each role below to continue to move your chapter momentum forward!
President:
Check Zetabase Roles to confirm all leadership roles are accurate - make changes if not, not all roles carried over from the change in the spring
Confirm your chapter profile lists the correct address - ASB to come soon
VP Finance:
Tax forms are due September 15! Pro tip for Billhighway chapters - Go to Reports-Transaction Reports-Account History and download the document into an excel or sheet in Google, then sort by type to get the best outline for adding to your tax reports!
Outline a chapter budget for the year or the biennium - share your draft with Laura by September 21
VP Membership:
Share your membership form with all members and potential members via the Potential Member Roster (PMR) - loop in your VP Finance to begin to bill members who completed the interest form for dues in Billhighway
Sort through your PMR to identify missing zip codes in your area - share the zips with me so we can add them to your chapter charter to build a wider recruiting net!
VP Communication:
Share a welcome email/newsletter including information items like chapter calendar, dues paying information, and membership form with all potential members
Update chapter communication pathways like email automatic replies, social media, and chapter website with new chapter information, how to pay dues, and event calendar
Locate and review chapter bylaws
The following chapters should be making changes, sharing with me for review and voting on bylaws as a chapter before the end of the calendar year: Greater Charlotte, Research Triangle, Winston-Salem, Hickory-Morganton
VP Programming:
Share the updated event calendar for the year or semester
Begin to create invitations via Facebook, Evite, Punchbowl or another invitation tool to receive RSVPs
VP Philanthropy & Service/Making Strides Walk Chairs:
Prepare for your Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC) Walk by ordering supplies today using the request form above
As a reminder, we do not raise funds for organizations as a chapter except for the ZTA Foundation, our role at MSABC walks are with the survivor and thriver tent
If you are hosting a philanthropy event outside of a MSABC walk, use the general Think Pink! Request form
